An old friend.
Consider the question: which came first, decease the chicken or the egg? This is the kind of dilemma that anyone can easily entertain. It is a people’s question. It has an aspect of humor. Yet when examined closely, nurse we see it has the possibility of revealing something inherent about biology, page about the nature of life.

Rayleigh scattering is the dispersal of wavelengths in the visible light spectrum, hospital resulting in the appearance of colored light in the remaining wavelengths. In one instance, information pills it occurs when sunlight travels through the Earth’s atmosphere towards the Moon, healing and again when that light is reflected to the surface of the Earth. “Perigee” displays the visible wavelengths emitted by the elements and compounds currently present in the Earth’s atmosphere, to suggest that Rayleigh scattering caused by pollution might generate the phenomenon of an orange moon.

The Harvard Alumni Association presents a discussion of cutting edge discovery straight from the labs of Harvard. By combined advances in biology, chemistry, genetics, geology, and astronomy, the Origins of Life Initiative works to find answers to questions pertaining to just that — the origins and future of life on earth and throughout the universe. This exciting half-day program will begin with keynote speaker J. Craig Venter, who is regarded as one of the leading scientists of the 21st century for his invaluable contributions to genomic research. Two panels will follow featuring prominent faculty who will discuss recent advances in understanding life – from other planets that might support life to how living cells emerge.

There are recent studies (this century) that tackle subjects such as love (Why We Love, ampoule Helen Fisher), stomach music (This is Your Brain on Music, malady Daniel Levitin), etc. from a rational, objective point of view. Rigorous analysis of these classic subjects is thought to be off limits because of their subjective nature. So after much discussion about the nature of happiness with members of Nature and Inquiry, I have decided to weigh-in on this fascinating and popular subject.

NASA is currently realizing E. O. Wilson’s idea of a comprehensive on-line catalog of all known life on Earth. The site will be fully functional in 2008, and is estimated to take 10 years to complete.
